About the event

Joined by special guest, Tony Vaughan MP, the first Filipino MP in the Houses of Parliament and a pre-eminent immigration barrister, we warmly invite you to join us for an evening in the Palace of Westminster with a panel of esteemed experts to discuss the new Labour government's immigration policies, and its direct impact on the ESEA community.

Objectives:

  • Understand and evaluate the new government’s plans for immigration.

  • Understand the impact of UK migration policy on ESEA migrants and other vulnerable groups.

  • Understand how this system has lent itself to increasingly sophisticated methods of human trafficking, particularly among Southeast Asians.

  • Provide insight into the impact of human trafficking on victims in the UK.
